My son and I boarded the Producer out of H&M 1/8 to fish 8/19. Scheduled for 8pm depart. They rolled in at 8 or so offloaded and promptly left to fuel up. I felt optimistic because I thought skipper either tried hard all day to find fish or reluctantly left em' biting. No matter, some overnights leave at 10. I'm ready to fish, never been on the famous San Diego greatest service in the world boats before. (I was underwhelmed) woke up around 5am grey light coming no biters, no fish till mid morning. Fished hard in green water with 25 MONO and scored 2 cookie cutter 15- 20lb yellowfin. Had an ok time with Serious satellite margaritaville radio blasting in my ears all day. If I ever see a cocktail stained Hawaiian shirt again in my life..... Very sad case of Stockholm syndrome with those deckhands though. One kid was happily singing along with Jimmy Buffett. Of course, these kids are on the water every day and very sharp with paying attention to their advice and my own little experience I didn't get skunked.

The big question is did you get all of your fish at the end of the trip? Too soon? :D

I did. I think the boys knew I wasn't up for any shenanigans. Although a passenger did "loose" his portable phone charger. A crew member "found" it in another bunk. Said crew member was carrying it up the stairs when a person said oh, you found it....
