One short of Double Limits...a Good Night not a Great Night!
The current was raging early...I had to chase down 4 nets and the wind swell was tough in an 18' skiff...but it mellowed out later and the Bugs finally crawled. We did three sets of 10 nets, all but one deep. The shallow net (35') was pulled twice and had one just legal and a couple of shorts. The crawl was the best for Bugs on the middle set of pulls (we had 4 legals on the first set) and the Crabs crawled best late. We ended up with one short of double limits for Jay and myself, with a couple of nice ones. Probably about 5 lbs. for the big one. About 30 crabs with most of them being the Reds. A fun night, but a lot of work in the DEEP!

Nice catch and thanks for sharing. Always impressed with your catches with not only numbers but also weight. If you want to learn how to hoop see Jim's website for classes. He does that too.
