Offshore 9 mile bank (7/4)

8am depart

looked for bft foamers- water's too dirty imo
lots of birds and dolphins. (do bft travel with dolphins schools like yft?)

water was a bit better on the west side of 9 mb. found a nice 6x6ft paddy
threw jigs, saw dodo's jumping and chasing-would not bite tho

Jumped in, saw a school of ~50 5lbs dodos +1 8lbs yellow
Shot 2, had enought meat, headed back in for bbq and fireworks. Awesome day!

nice!!!! BTW, did you fish 9 mile reef for rockfish in US waters or MX. 9 mile reef in US waters is off limits for bottom fishing...

I should have clarified that the rockfish were NOT caught on the 9.
We fished small stones on the way out to the 9.

There are waypoints that you are not allowed to fish seaward of. It roughly follows the 100f contour.
Don't have my gps on me right now, so can't give you the waypoints, but im sure it's posted on bdo or fish and game
