Offshore 9 27 12 Sorry for the untimely report but we got home late and I had a lot of crap to do today :D

Crew was Martin, Simon, Bud and myself.

Left SI at around 1030pm and picked up some pretty decent dines. By morning we only had 2 dead soldiers in the tank. Sweet! Main concern #1 avoided. We putted down on about a 200 degrees heading at 6.5 mph though the night to save fuel. By the time the sun came up we were aboutt 55 miles south of PL. We put out the trollers somewhere west of the hidden and for the first couple hours we didn't see much. At some point we get a triple that turned into a double on nice albies.
Shortly after we get single dodo and then another double ablie strike.

Boxed the area but that was it for that zone. We keep heading SW the whole time finding paddies here and there with one orr 2 dodo on them.

    Capture!

    and another

We hear about some radio fish 6 miles away near the 378 on about the same heading we are allready on so we so we just trolled to the numbers. On the way getting another jig stop on some nice YFT and hitting a couple more paddies for another dodo.

    YFT

At the radio paddy we find 2 boats hooked up on dodos and tuna and ask if we can slide in. They said come on in so we did a couple drifts for another YFT and BFT. The dorado had become skittish and would just crush the baits so we decieded to head back after the albies and leave these guys to their paddy.

We trolled quite a while for nothing when finally we get a jig stop east of the hidden for 1 nice sized albie and one more dumped on bait.

We boxed the area without any more biters. We would get 2 more jig strikes one came off. probably tuna and 1 small dodo that hit right before sunset near the 425.

We used about 100 gals of fuel and traveled 160 miles getting just over 66 miles from PL. We ended up karma releasing the last 25 baits that were still swimming when the sun went down.
Final tally 5 Albie, 6 dorado, 3 YFT, 1 BFT and 1 skipjack.

This is the kind weather we had to deal with all day......

It was really great fishing with you guys! Although Bud didn't fish much. He seeemed to prefer gaffing, gill and gutting and just stomping the shit out of the fish on deck LOL

I enjoyed Bud enjoying stomping on those fish LOL

Anytime Simon, glad you could make it!

LOL Thanks for coming Bud, great company.

We only had one jig stop on albies where a bait got picked but somebody farmed it :picknose:

Yeah Al we were waiting for one or two just to round out the offshore species list but even though we looked at 8 or 9 paddies we never saw a YT.
