Got on a half day out of Pierpoint Landing on the city of Long Beach to get on a fun bonito bite. Capt said that the bonito moved out of range and that we’d be rockfishing for the rest of the day but out of nowhere the water turned dark blue and yellows showed up busting under birds at Horseshoe. Steady chummed and they stayed on us for over an hour for a solid pick of yellows. I managed to get lucky and stuck a good fish for a local half day trip. After a while water turned green again and the fished moved on. Couple of other guys throwing tady 45s in bird shit and baby 5x mint had a couple fish aswell.
