want to say thanks to dennis for letting my buddy & I to go on there private charter with chubasco ll. started off getting bait around 545 & there was the longest line to get bait that I have ever seen, maybe 30 something private boaters (WOW), glad we didn't have to wait in line. anyways, thinking we were gonna head north, that was not the case. we headed south to the 302-371-425 areas, very slow from the morning til mid afternoon. found patties holding nothing, we found some fish here and there, maybe only fifteen YF until around 2:30 or 3. started to head in, then all hell broke loose. we stopped on a school picked up about 20 YF, next stop was wide open, everyone that was using live bait was getting hit about 10-15 seconds after they cast out they're bait. from 3:00 til 5:00 pm we went from 15 to 85 YF, WOW. we used up all our bait the last stop. all fish being about 15 to 25lb range. I ended up with 4 & lost 4 due to normal breaks & pulled hooks. people were using 20lb fluoral with size 2 hooks. I was using 30lb floural with size 2 hook and had no problems with the size of the line. sorry I don't have photo's, to lazy to download them from phone. just wanted to let you guys know they are catching them south again. every fish was caught on live bait. I tried colt snipers & small orca popper for nothing. we did get a few on the troll, 1 I know was caught on a pink/white feather. my buddy (obtunaman) got that one.
