decided to make the run down south, thanks to Cody’s report from yesterday, to get some yellows or some dorado. Launched from Dana landing early think it was 230 ish. No one at the ramp. Headed over to the barge and got the same 4” dines as last week. We got 1 Mack and 3 large dines so we tried to sabiki some Mack’s outside the jetty but no luck. Made a b-line straight for the 302. Trolled over the high spot but no marks. Pulled in the trollers and ran down to the 425 which was packed with pens and seiners. Not a damn thing going on so we continued south another 5 miles or so. Water was 73 down here Not a damn paddy in sight we zigged we zagged and nothing. Decided to work our way back up and over to the 371...no kelps. We did troll a large school of purpose for the usual nothing still trying to figure out why I even own trolling gear. By this time it’s about 10 and we reek of desperation were ne of the 371 and come across a Parker on a paddy and ask if we may come in. They graciously allowed us to and said they limited on dodos and we’re leaving. Big thanks to these guys for being cool and saving our day! We scored our limit of dodos and some nice tails, one went 35 CAUGHT on a MACK hint hint. All big baits were fish. Also got them on the blue and white jri. Headed in stopped on s kelp at the 9 but she was empty. Water here was77.9! Wish we had more Mack’s! We had a blast catching yellows on irons. Heard of some tuna at the 209 but who knows kind of slow out there for many. Good luck this weekend guys whack em!
