launched at 4:30 from Dana point and headed straight to the 267-279. Stopped twice to blow mud in my Home Depot bucket and pointed back south west. Got to the 267-279 at grey light and zig zagged. Saw one dry patty but chummed it anyway and soaked some bait. No dice. Headed to 209 after a while for the same results. Trolled, zig zagged, laughed at the radio chatter, got sick and puked in my shit bucket... it was like that. Decided to head toward the 14 mile bank thinking that all the boat pressure was further south. Same results. Not one patty on the ride there. Cut it short and decided to head to San Mateo kelp to salvage my day. FML. No kelp! Not even Mack’s eating my sandwich that I puked up over the side. Water temps were 75-76 Conditions were nice on the way out but wind picked up a little as the sun came up but not bad. Overcast most of the day, sunny close to shore. Hope this helps!
