Launched 6:30 from newport. Half scoop of bait (died within 2 hours) and we pointed straight for the 14-slide.

Set the madmac, a purple feather and a cedar plug out just off the 14 at about 7:45-8 am. Found a patty with dorado jumping all around it and had two short bites on sardines. Sea lion was on the patty so the bite shut down as soon as he woke up and got active. Continued on to the slide/277 and worked it up and down all day for absolutely nothing. No fish seen at all. Saw some lone jumpers at the 14 on the way in but still no bites. Tough day on the water...

Just wondering if anyone has been around the farnsworth bank, are there any yt/bft on it?

There were some reports on the west end a few days ago. It looks like the 499 slowed down a little and moved north towards Osborn Bank.
