Went fishing, O side, Got skunked Again! Went North off the domes, 8-15 miles out up and in then back out towards west. Nada. Meter marks, usual routine.
7-20 went South towards west and 209, then south a bit more, went inside and up back nada.
Thats going to be one expensive fish when I do catch one, I hope.
    The Dude.

Damn, that's a bummer. Planning to go out to more out of oside. Guess I'll point at the 209 and check the south side of it out.

Yeah Yeah got the date thing, went out Mon Tues, better, good.
Weather was very good both days in the am then wind picked up in the early pm. Saw birds on the the water more than flying above. Did have good marks and trolled area, stopped and chummed for a bit with live mackerel out down low with weight and high free swimming bait. I never saw any action of tuna on top. Diid see porpoise as well.

We went on Sat / Sun. Sat nothing saw bird action and a couple foamers that dropped out by the time we got there. Sunday we went to LaJolla 12 - 15 miles out. Saw large boils but no biters. Worked it for hours for no luck. Went inside and worked back to Carlsbad. 2.5 miles out there were foamers and sainers. We got lucky with one 55-60 lbr. Gotts get a bait ot iron on them when they come up. Foam stops and so did the bite. We tried soaking bait for nada. We heard of someone hitting one under the porpoise and tried it for nothing. For us, run and gun, faster the better. Seems like when the bait hits the foam you are on...
