Well here is some timely info. We only had time for a early morning run! We launched on my buddies 24 whaler. Got a few squid from a buddy who did well on island yellows the day before. Long story short we fished kelps to the west of the island looking for the one that they scored on. Never found it. Has or had!! Three red balloons on it. We found several dry. One was loaded with 1-3 lb yt caught ten or more and left biting. Kept looking. 68-70 water in spots. Cooler green 66 in other areas!! Ran out of bait n time!!! Btw as we got underway home saw tuna busting!! Sank out when we stopped upswell. Threw flat falls. No go!! Good luck!!!

With the climate here on BD, it would be tragic to post pictures of pan size YT. Hell, we all saw a nice Marlin caught on a small boat a week ago (catch of a lifetime in SC) and some of you gave em crap for that.

In all fairness, fishsmith was probably joking, right?

Not sure?? Maybe he was not sure of the area?? I hit the marker on that one spot so I shared it. I did not originally due to kelps move miles in a day!!! As to be truthful I'm not a picture guy?? Just my preference, I don't take pix of hardly anything even at events or on vacation!! I think it takes away from the mental memories. Plus in trying to get a good digital pix I feel you miss the moment!! Again all my opinion only.People who go with me post on here all the time. If they want to share great. So if you like my info and it helps you great!! I try to put timely info. Again most people on here are great hard fishing men and women!!! Good luck!! Jeff

Not that it really matters, but... yep just joking, sorry dudes.

Interpreting someones intentions concerning a blog reply can be quite difficult, thus the 'Ha Ha' addendum attempts to communicates it is simply a joke. I certainly don't need no pics of 10 1-3 lb yt, nor want the location of a transitory kelp holding such. I fish down South anyway.

Personally, I'm a bit skeptical and take everything I read with a grain of salt, what with all the "fake" news and all... Pictures aren't a cure all, but they do lend some credence to a report and make it more interesting too. Heck, a couple of years ago some guy was posting a fake report with old pics in it, until he got called on the metadata.

Pgnracr has written some pretty amazingly awesome reports over the last decade, but the only pic is your smallmouth avatar. I guess taking a pic ruins the experience for you? Even when your 8 year old son caught an 80 lb BFT last year, no pic? Although your generous use of the exclamation marks makes your reports exciting, I like pics and I want to believe!

Pgnracr you seem like a great guy and fisherman, and coincidentally we even share a common birthdate, [if I can believe it (ha ha another joke)] and I know Ron vouches for you, so I will mind my own business, but I still like pics! Sort of looking forward to more of your exciting but pictureless reports!

FYI I take a lot of pics and have done reports here for years, and joke
with the "Where's the Beef" if I see none. I'll be honest though, I go out
TO FISH, and when the bloods flying and the bite is wide open, my
camera is safe in my tackle bag. LOL Just saying. I've seen nice fish
from most of you posting here. I'll be happy if my Orthopedic Surgeon
says it's OK for me to fish again after Shoulder surgery#6 in May...
Tomorrow Morning.LOL Maybe when the fishing is better, the pics we can take? LOL

Historically, fisherman have been known to exaggerate their fishing experiences, type of fish, size of fish, quantity of fish.

When a photo is provided, it makes the story a lot easier to believe, plus it's like food porn. Ever send a photo of your smoked pork butt or ribs to a friend? Of course you have.
Now, isn't it a lot easier to believe this lucky gentleman won the halibut derby, along with getting his photo with this smoking hot babe? Of course it is. :D

I've been holding my tongue for years, but I'm over it.

    Pgnracr's reports SCREAM bullshit.

I know Ron vouches for him... who else? All his reports are the big one getting away, and then he catches something else but it's never quiiiite good enough to make people actually say BS without pics.

Like he goes out on the roughest day of the year, loses a YFT so big it had sickles, and then tucks into the island and catches 3 barely legal halibut. All his reports have the same pattern. The really special fish he'd have to have pics of gets away, the fish he catches isn't good enough to take pics, and when he chimes in on other guys' reports its always "XYZ was key for us last year, we killed em on that rig" or other some such comment that low-key makes him look like he's out there killing it.

I really hope he isn't full of shit. I would LIKE to be wrong on this one. But I have a pretty keen eye for bullshit, and maybe the biggest clue is that he's not shy about boasting on here, acting like a hotshot, but when it comes to actually showing his face or better yet, showing his catch, suddenly he's too modest.

I just can't take anything he says seriously. At one point I caught on and looked back at his old reports, and they just don't add up. If even just a few guys can vouch that he's legit, I'll be happy to learn I was wrong. Until then, I think it's a real dick move to post fake reports so I'll continue not believing anything I read from this guy. And I'm glad others are finally pointing out how fishy this guy is (not in the good way!)
