Title was supposed to be 7/13. Sorry.

Pushed off from the dock at about 7am. Grabbed a nice scoop of lively bait and pointed it for the islands. On the way down there we got some Intel to start at south kelp as our buddies had just limited there and went offshore. We get there and not a boat on the spot, but up near the tuna pens was a parking lot. Private boats and the whole fleet, including long range boats.
Had a few hook ups on slow trolled sardines and a few on flylines. We lost lots of bites out there today due to pulled hooks. Lost one at the boat due to it still being hot and my buddy not being able to land the gaf shot, tried to bounce it and it popped off. And dogs were thick out there. Luckily they didn't get any of our fish but I did have to bounce one as it came extremely close.
Eventually one cattle boat came out our way and hooked up and next thing you know the whole fleet is surrounding us. After that it pretty much shit down for us except once when 3/4 trollers went off at once but only one was landed.

Ended up with 7 yellows (9-15lb -bagged) and a few barracuda and a big bonito we released. Dropped em off at 5 star to be processed.

WTG, nice bag of meat. What trolling pattern was working for you (besides the slow troll with sardines)? I have a couple rapalas, and a large diving nomad.

Oh and one was caught on the dropper loop. On the drop. Maybe 25 feet down. Saw marks and couldn't get bit on the flyline. Dropped that and bammm

I didn't take any yesterday, only video for some reason. Didn't think about it til after.
My buddy's girl took some that I'm trying to get them to send me. And I have this one of my wife from her phone.
