The 1000 fathom between BO and Ko Olina was holding plenty bait and a few good marks but did not produce any ahi. But The boat next to me landed a Grander today. We ended up with a nice ono on the 1000 fathom in front of Ko Olina.

Kyle, good going on the ono. Talked to some guys at Waianae boat harbor and even though some did great, others white washed. Any pics of the grander?

Heard it was a yellow boat that might have caught a couple of them that size before.....
    Can't confirm that though

You are correct. Was trying to figure the short measure, and figured it would be real close.

If memory serves me correct (probably not) that was the States first official Grander since 2015. And just 4 days ago the State got their second. Steve Yamasaki (Taipan V) a Maui boat and Captain, got a 1073 off Kauai. Make sure your gear is ready...

    Chee!!!
