The Carlsbad Firefighters Association is sponsoring its 6<sup>th</sup> annual Stop Drop and Reel Firefighter Charity Halibut Tournament on June 14th. Proceeds go to the UCSD Regional Burn Center to benefit its Brave Heart Kids Program.
The tournament is open to everyone but each boat must have at least one active duty or retired fire department or paramedic representative in the crew.
This is a fire department bragging rights tournament.
There are no restrictions on line test, but IGFA, CA DFG and Mexican regulations apply. Treble hooks will not be allowed.
All fish must be weighed in between 3:30 – 5:00 pm at the San Diego Marlin Club, 2445 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego.
There is a huge raffle, great prizes and an awards barbecue at the San Diego Marlin Club, starting at 4:30 p.m. the day of the tournament.
The entry fee is $50 per person which includes a t-shirt, grab bag and the BBQ. There is an optional $50 per boat side jackpot for first and second place payout.

Also if you are not a firefighter or paramedic and have a boat and would like to fish there is a rideshare form on the website and we can try to set you up with some firefighters or paramedicss. Or if you are a firefighter or paramedic looking for crew as well. Also you can be retired or an EMT. Thanks!
