I have a true story. About 8 weeks or so ago, down So., about 80% of the Ytail being caught off kelps, were those big bruisers, in the 20-30+ lb range. If ya'll remember.

While using a jig with a single hook, (easier to release) and after having a blast catching a few of those bigger ones and releasing the smaller ones.....I hook a smaller Ytail with a tag stapled to its gill plate. Hmmmmm?

I was on the Condor, tag number was #19. The problem was, it was from another boat. Huh???? A real head scratcher for sure.

On my next trip or two later, I asked Scott/crew about any feedback from the other boats Captain. Come to find out,...a passenger stapled his own fish n bagged it. (Way too small as the story goes).....and deckhand comes behind him and pitches it over the side, as a joke, w/o pass. knowing it. TOOOO Small.

The thing is......this fish recovered going thru all that, being stapled etc.......and I caught it on a jig, not even 24 hours later. True story, and one of the strangest to me out there. It was probably 8-12lbs. I put the thing out of his misery and it smoked up just fine, and enjoyed by many. Haha

Any numbers on that magic paddy? lol

Secondly, you said the deckhand said over two hundred, and you took that for the absolute. I'm sure you'd believe him if he said he had 12" dick as well.

I call B.S. on this post. Whats an unnamed boat?

Were you fishing out of LA, San Diego, Ensenada Mex. or other?

Why write an inflammatory post so lacking in details.
