Jay, I guess you have been "Royal Polarized"
At the FH show I was talking with Andy. He said one guy came over and asked if the Rooster had restrooms down below. Well, what you get with bathrooms down below is a mess of shit water when the enevitable happens. And shit water don't go out of the boat with out a lot of work and pumps. No thanks...
How much did you tip?
Rooster doesn't have heads below?
No... they have two staterooms on galley level. And 4 restrooms with showers on the galley level. Sometimes a pain to climb the stairs but never any wet issues below...
AT least your roomie didn't snore.
I never looked at it that way before but you do have a point..
Haven't fished the Shogun in over a year, but now that you mention it, there was an issue with the plumbing downstairs. l was in cabin A, galley level. Hmm... Owners not wanting to put money into their boats...Maybe they know something we don't ?
WOW! You guys are way to funny.. The Shogun has been that way since it was built. When fishing is wide open its never mention. aka perfect trip no weather lots of fish... Heads below deck are a problem... In the last 37 years ive be going to the Lupe.. Ive seen any more poor trips than good ones. I agree the last couple of years its been awesome.. wonder why no tuna at the rocks in about 8 years. No albacore??? Maybe the water is finally cooling.. This is the first trip disaster do to the closing of Cedros..Any other year they would had left the Lupe and went to Cedros.. AND SAVED THE TRIP... ASK the pros of the LUPE aka Bobby Taft, Sharky, Apolo, there are many more...If they ever start again start again catchingAlbacore on they way !!! Tuna in the fall pociblce si??
The Q105 had downstairs head. No problems.
the Queen Has one in the Back by the Staterooms
and it Drains Slow, they tell you number is
1 ok number ,number 2, Houston we have a problem
because its below the water Line
that's what they tell you.
$110.00 exactly, thats what the cook deserved. I dont care about the rest of the crew who weren't man enough to say to the son of a bitch who captained this mess (along with the trip that went before us), to clean up his mess... thanks Frank, you own it, now its time to pay for it!
I Guess your Pissed off, take your 2 Grand next time ,
and Go to Costco, to get your Moneys worth.
I feel very sorry for everyone on a poor trip ,, could be weather ,,fishing, no bait.BUTT the bottom line the closure of Cedros con Benitos.. Has killed its first trip . We could always save a trip !!!1 Either on the way up down????? Alot of LR Captains stopped at Cedros for bait aka Mackeral...En the days of no big SARDINES.. Just wait till blowing 25 outside and there no place to hide...
Now Bill, I'm not a plumber, I am a carpenter. But your's and Andy's logic doesn't make sense to me.
I was always told plumbers need to know 2 things:
1) Shit runs downhill
2) Payday is on Friday
So, if the heads are above you, and they fail, where is the shitwater gonna go? So, in this thinking, the more heads they put downstairs, the less likely for shitwater to go everywhere down below.
Mattresses, pillows, sheets, blankets, angler's clothes, everywhere.
Bow bait tanks are a liability too, but that's only salt water.
I'll pick a boat with 2 upstairs heads over 4 upstairs heads on that reasoning.
(3) don't bite you fingernails
(4) Hot left, Cold right
and if it looks like Shit, feels like Shit and Smells like Shit
It must Be, SHIT
Heck, I am gonna switch professions, thanks guys
