2nd annual Ghost trip with the boys up in Oxnard, with so much anticipation from watching the counts all week...we were pumped! I'll keep this short and sweet. Captain Alex is a fishy dude and delivered once again. No one works harder than this crew, Robert and Jason do it right...no missed fish and EXCELLENT service. Big thanks to Wendi for killing it on the WSB sashimi and ceviche!!

Day 1 we worked hard for a spotty bite at Santa Rosa on nice quality WSB. I hooked into a slug Halibut early on, Robert with a perfect gaff and all smiles from there on! :) 48# on scale (JP). We got into a nice bite and the end of the day and I ended up getting my ghost, beautiful 27# fish at sunset. Doesn't get any better than that! 2 personal bests day one, dreams do come true when you spend time at the rail. (18 hours hard)

Day 2 we got into a solid bite anchored up and picked away at smaller grade WSB, 15-24#. I missed on 2, feeling like my luck had changed, but super pumped our newbie Barraza boated not 1, but 2 (JP). Our group hammered it again all day and finished off on some decent rock-fishing. This is where I landed a new PB 17# Ling that fought extremely well the whole way up, almost took JP.

Gauge, B-Razz, Caserock and of course RayRay aka Vodka. Another amazing trip in the books... now Tuna Time!!!!

Excellent trip and I can't say enough good things about this crew, they do it the right way!

Awesome trip! I went on the overnight trip after yours. What's funny is that Wendy was talking about a guy who caught a halibut, WSB, and a ling lol. Good fishing right there.

No issue with the fish weight...they just look 5 ft in front of you , especially the top 4. I am just jealous.
