Pretty much went WFO west of the 390 this afternoon. Launched from MCRD at 4AM (thanks Max!) with the Miss Yoly and @EZ.....ran out to the cross area but on the way down passed over some nice marks on the 230....pulled at the 230 for half an hour for nada...shot down to the cross but much going on there....Dave on the Miss Yoly calls me with a tripple on the 390 highspot, so i run on over there and put the jigs in...After trolling around for a while for nada we started trolling west....got to 03/50 and started to get lots of marks...then it pretty much busted loose.....funny thing, though-----the fish would hit almost any kinda jig so long as it was pulled in TIGHT to the boat....almost half out of the water.....a jig dropped far back just wouldn't get knocked down.....go figure...
anyway, I ended with a limit of 22-24 pound chickens and had to release a 6th fish (last hookup was a double).....water was 65.0 or so clean....
