Left around 6am got lively 2-4 inch sardines and a few anchovies mixed. Hit south 9mile and saw a group of birds just sitting on the water and got close and all of a sudden boils and jumping tuna just start flying out of the water 5 feet from the boat. Irons, sardines and squid with at first no takers then bam in the rod holder first one on and in the boat pushing 35lbs. Tuna still boiling and jumping next rod in the holder goes off bam another pushing 40lbs hits the deck and a buddy boat lands a 30+ right next to us. As u watch the fast huge school of tuna moving fast towards the west. So we moved west. Got on some porpoises and saw marks dropped bait and jigs down. Bam flat fall jig gets hit and a 30+ pounder hits the deck. Little while later found more porpoises and they lead us to the only patty we found all day. Didn't leave in gear in the rod holder and farmed something probably bluefin or yt. Dropped the flat fall down for my first time using and bam another 30+ pounder hits the deck. Stayed on the south 9 all day. All in all a killer trip.
