I will keep this report short and sweet. First, I would like to thank Bloodydecks for a great tournament. I hadn't fished the tournament in a long time and was pumped to see how much the field had grown.

Met at the ramp around 3:30am in Mission bay and headed for the islands. Got to our normal zone around 6:00 am and didn't find much, so proceeded to our next spot. We found the fish quite quickly and had them going pretty good.

We stayed away from the fleet and found a zone that produced a few quality fish. I got worked in shallow water on my #20 rig and felt the anxiety as the seals were lurking. All in all, great fishing at the islands right now.

My buddies Dustin, Tim and myself were able to take 5th place in the tournament! We were absolutely pumped as we worked very hard this weekend. Again, thanks to BD for a rad tournament. We'll be back next year. IMG_3773 (4).JPEG

    Nice fish!
That was my first time on the water during the Shoot Out. Damn! I'll never go to the islands again during something like that, lesson learned lol
Got to North Island at sun up. Left just before noon. Too much crowd for us, plus that wind started howling.
Lost 1 Yellow and 1 bonito to seals. Caught and released 3 nice sized fun bonitos.
Didn't experience any crowding or pressure at the ramp or bait barge. We baited up a little after 3am. Where did all the boats come from? Do they go out a day prior or something? The parking lot didn't have a whole lot of trailers in it.
I don't think the ramp I use is that secret..
