Hit up Barrett on Cinco de Mayo for a great day of fishing with my buddy. We arrived at the lake at 4:00am and got in at 5:00am and on the water by 5:30. We launched our tubes at pigs point and head up towards pine creek but that bank was not producing too much. We did mange to pull a few on a white spinnerbait with double willow blades and 6” western plastics. We decided to kick over to the other side of the lake and work towards the main lake and that was the best idea. We started to catch fish after fish on plastics, spinnerbaits and rattle traps. All the fish were up tight to the shore or to the trees. We kicked all day long and managed about 130 fish with a few kickers a 7 lbs 5oz, 6 lbs 4oz, 5 lbs 3oz and 5lbs. We were off the lake at 7pm… I’ll try and get the pictures up later.
