Saw no signs of life on a quick tour of the 302.
Water temp very low 60s and not one patty spotted. No porpoise, whales, birds or other boats around.
Couldn't put anything together at N or S 9 either.
    Heard radio YT at Coronados.
Caught one small rock fish at the PL pipe to technically avoid the skunk, but I sure feel skunky.

That's to bad Jack, there's been alot of Kelp on the beach the past couple of day's so maybe we'll start seeing some improvement offshore. It's been barren for awhile now and the kelp we found which was holding was tiny and borderline drive by and looksie... Pray for big meaty kelps!!!

Ok guys I cant stand the whining any more .Ive fished the local banks several times in the last two weeks withn good scores of yellows . The trick has been to slow down and work the kelps with a variety of methods and eventually they will bite. There has also been small pods of blue fin spotted on the outer edge of the local banks out to the butterfly I doubt those escaped from tuna pins. I myself saw three small spots of bluefin as well as a couple single jumpers .So hang tight work a little harder and youll find that there are some fish to be caught right now

Who the fuck was whining? So far on this thread there has been a report and two posts all of which describe what we're seeing on the 9 and outside, pretty solid info if you ask me. It seems many people are trying the 302(which has produced a few small YT), the 181-43-182 triangle which isn't producing much at all right now, and the banks South and SW of the 302 incl. 371 & 425 which are giving up better counts but still the fish in the 60 mile range are pretty small (great tasting). The whole purpose of BD is to keep eachother informed and many people incl. myself really look forward to our little triangle and the SCI buoy area to start holding fish, this keeps us in U.S. waters (no customs) and no mex permits requierd (duh I've got mine but the guy's up North don't alway's). So Mr. Hardcore Tracker thank's for enlightening us as to what is really going on and maybe in the future you can pull your head out of your ass and POST a fucking report instead of just take, take, take!!! Member since 2003 and not a single damn report, JMHO- Get Fucked!:hali_ruahahaha:

Hey Tracker you came on a little strong there now that you have access but nothing like coming into the party with guns ablazin!!! BTW, that boat has caught many many fish over the past years so don't get too lost in the details...It catches fish and that is the bottom line...We're running tomorrow so we'll see what happens...

No worries Mike but you did start it. I was allready on edge this morning after waking up at 4am to go crew on the boat I work on and they decided to cancel the trip at 5:10am. Arghhhhhhh. There were only a handfull of good tuna day's last year and I think Jim and I were lucky enough to be out on every one, thank's for the call I do remember... I was bummed when you guy's headed in before us cause we were low on fuel but caught up in the middle of a WFO YFT bite... That was fun!!!LOL

I'm not complaining--just sharing what I saw on a quick trip for the benefit of anyone who might find that information useful. But thanks for all the useful suggestions on how to fish better. I'll especially keep my eyes open for small pods of bluefin and single jumpers at the 302 whenever the water is suitably 60.5 degrees and murky green.
