Epic fishing today with Nick on Mi Panga. First paddy about 5 miles south of the 425 was plugged with dorado. Every Mack was a fish. Limits for four guys by 8:30. C&at bunch more. Play with poppers for ge more. Drove away with them still full speed.

Headed down on a 180 heading, 20 mins later another paddy and it was also plugged with dodo. Also full speed on the macks. C&R a bunch and leave them biting.

Set two lines on the troll and see ponies acting the right way. Fished them with the macks and farmed two bites. Small fish.

Back on the troll heading north toward the 371 and found the big bluefin outside the 371 and again about 5 miles SW of the 302. Jumbo grade. Large volume. Shiners and a foamer. No time to set up the kite since we had to be home early. Slow trolled macks and threw poppers for no bites.

The whole area looked good today. Dodos are finally biting at least on the macks. Good luck tomorrow if you go out. If it was me, I’d target those bluefin with a kite.

    Hasta.

I'm also looking to go out Tuesday. I want to fish the jumbos with the kite and I'm debating either backside of SCI or now after hearing this maybe I should go south? Based off of what you saw today does it seem worth dedicating a day to that down there?

They were there yesterday and in good volume, but it isn’t structure like an island where you can count on them being in a specific spot for awhile. If they are there again Tuesday, the kite would be effective. That’s the best I can say.

New dope on those SCI fish,.. try frozen giant squid in the dark.
