    FT post...here it goes

Seas were basically flat calm all day Sunday. Made it to the island in an hour which is hauling a** for my Triumph 170cc. I "pick my days" to cross and this was a beauty. There was some wind early and late as to be expected.

After picking up some killer dines at Nachos, we went all the way to SV and worked our way back to Seal Rock. Water is still off color but signs of life are returning. It's about to go off any day now. Saw tons of diving birds and mammals. Lots of bait being scattered but no hits on game fish. Only a matter of time folks. Probably could have done better working the crashing bait but I'm fairly new to the game.

We did score quite a few Calicos on the drift by the kelp beds. Most were short but had 2 decent keepers...and one massive 7lb TOAD with one eye at church rock. Finished the day picking up some bottom fish off seal rock in 250ft of water some small some quaility.

Got sunburnt eventhough it was cold and cloudy...pretty decent battle scar for a Monday at the office

    Cheers!

The life jacket's pretty cool, especially in a 17'er. Is that an "ugly stick" rod? Nice rods for the $$.
