Launched saturday afternoon to take a couple casts in the bay and check out the air show. Was planning on going offshore for YT but our vessel is a tad sensitive to any bump in the water. let's just say its a unique craft to SD waters...

Ended up with out first keeper halibut caught in about 6 feet of water on a 5 in swimbait and 3/4 oz jighead. The fish nailed the lure almost right when it hit the water.

I think its safe to say most people would find it crazy that pulling that halibut into the boat was much more exciting than watching death defying aerial maneuvers performed by high performance aircraft. To each their own
