Is this not what you stated? Did someone sign in with your password and add stuff?

This is the discussion a 12’ boat for sale and if it is a trailerable boat. I made no assumption you were an idiot, but thought maybe you missed the details on the boat in question being 12’ wide and misspoke stating it is trailerable. Your personal boat was not being discussed.

First it is not my shit to get straight... Second at the point you made your comment based upon the conversation you thought it was 12’, just because you find out it’s not what Garret stated, you still commented that a 12’ wide boat was trailerable. So get your own shit straight!

The web page states 10’ 8” but I did not go to any web page to try and prove anyone right or wrong. I did not ever state that I knew the specs on this boat. Garrett stated that the boat was 12’x31’ and I replied that a boat that sized is not very trailerable and would require a pilot car. If I was given wrong information it does not change the conversation that a 12’ boat would not be very trailerable.

Any boat getting up near this size as you stated is a pain in the ass to trailer and generally would not be something most buyers would be looking at to tow around. There are always people who will do it, but generally speaking guys do not trailer this sized boat. That’s my point from the start and remains my point.

Garret made the statement that it was 12’x31’ and I assumed he had information about the size. I never went and looked at the specs. So I based my conversation off of what he stated.... the fact that it is a research vessel possibly custom made, maybe its wider than the factory specs you found or maybe Garret was wrong about width..

Thanks for the clarification. I would agree this would not be a boat I would want to trailer but possibly leave at a marina or tow short distance to clean and park near house.

Jesus, a 31' Silverstreak for $75k?!? I don't know if you can get a 20' from them at that price.

Oh, and so my post fits into what this thread became. Fuck you, tow this tow that, you're an idiot, beam this, beam that, tow tow, trailer permits, etc.

Bigdood you forgot pilot car. Just like the semi loaded with a big tractor of some sorts friday morning as i was passing him we go under the Mud Bay road overpass. I h ear a really loud thump from behind me i look in rearview mirror to see all tha cars behind swerving, slamming on brakes. 2 lanes of traffic quickly became 6 lanes due to cars all over the road. They were swerving to miss concrete falling off the bridge that the semi hit with his load. When i returned 3 hours later the semi was still sitting on side of the road. Just glad no one was hurt. But a pilot car would of avoided this.

The boat is 10' 7". Trailer is workable. No one cares about pilot cars and CDLs or how much you know.
Buy the boat, sell the drives and convert to OB.

@goatram should buy this and convert. No bigger than a Coldwater!
    Carry on.

3ft wider ass than mine. Same boat. I'm good. If I DID build a new boat. It would be a CW 33' walk-around, bait tank front and back powered by Yamaha 300's a proper head and cuddy.

I can dream. The only new thing I want is a New F350 DRW mated with a flatbed and no PAIN-T on the cab. Polish the cab to match the bed.
