We Launched out of SI at about 6. Made bait on the way and headed toward the 302. Not a lot of life for the first 20 miles. Greenish water 70.5 degrees. Hit a few patties on n the way, only one had some small fish, maybe small dorado, too deep and cloudy to tell for sure. Once we were at the 302 the ocean came to life with birds and porpoise. 72 ish degree, blue water. Trolled mad macs 160&200 for about 1 hour plus on the mega pod we found. Looked like there may have been some boiling fish mixed in, but we didn’t get hit….headed towards north island and found a lot of Pattie’s about 5-8 miles off but only one had visible dorado, worked it thoroughly with bait/jigs and couldn’t get the kids to bite. All in all, a beautiful day with enough nat geo water mammal acrobatics to satisfy the most avid animal lover. Hope this helps anyone this weekend. Have fun out there 🤙🏼

Cool report and effort. HINT...next time look for PADDIES (ae: Paddy, a Pad of Kelp in the Ocean)
Those Patties were always a tough date, and rejection was common. LOL LOL GL Next trip!!
