Fished the 302 area today hoping to find a paddy early and score...didn’t happen. We covered quite a bit of ground, saw 1 dry door mat sized paddy, and 1 dry pallet. Northwest of the 302 was some beautiful blue water with birds everywhere, finally found a nice paddy that turned up dry around 830. There were some crashing birds about 100 yards away so we ran over there thinking game on, but it was 2 monster fin whales on a bait ball. Worked it for a bit and only metered a few blips. Didn’t have much time to play with so headed back at 9 and onto the trailer at 1030. Beats work, anyone out there score today?

3 out of 5 of the paddies around the 302 had fish on them.It was either the full moon or our baby sardines that just couldnt entice a bite.We ended up spearing 3 yellows, one of which was a nice stout husky little 25lber.The fish really are there.

Yes
I was out there as well. Looked like a pod of 3 or 4 whales. Anyways, same deal. 4 kelps with no one home that I could see.

And to finish the day... chipped the gel coat on my boat and lost my bait net on the way home.

Seems like quite a few hit the 302 before heading farther out. No need to go farther than you have to.
But since it's close, it gets a lot of pressure.
