    I spent plenty of time heading to Clemente with only a compass back when I was young.
    Now that I'm old and grey, I GPS all the way! LOL

    Safety doesn't sound like this "We're somewhere between the 181 & the 14mile bank.... I think"

    Unless you're a 100yr old Portuguese sailer you really don't know exactly where you are. Many a sailer never made it home but went down with "Big Cajones"

    And I'm jealous you got fish!

    I was out by the 14 one day and a guy showes up trolling on a jet ski , hooks up and lands a nice yellowfin , then heads back towards shore ! You remind me of that guy
