Cool boat name. Don't ask me how I know... No worries, the ocean is big enough for two of us.:D

Nice thread, I'm restoring a Cabo 216 at the moment, myself.

So one little bump in the road of wiring, that I would like to Thank
Capt. C. Delany. For bringing to my attention via PM. He pointed out that my feed wire to the fuse block may be under sized. I took the greatly appreciated advice. And ordered some 8awg wire.

Originally I was shooting for more of a color match to the boat, but now that it is on the boat I guess it doesn't clash too much. It is not too far off of the color of the wood. So I guess I'm happy with it. And the reality of it is that it probably won't stain as easy.

With the assistance and knowledge of member Fishbones tomorrow we will position and dry fit the bracket. Today I taped off the transom, took a bunch of measurements, made some marks for elevations, and center point, and got the height set close for fitting the bracket. Also got 2 hubs pulled apart cleaned up and regreased. Following the dry fit the fabricator will finish the swistep, then off to powdercoat.

Got my bracket back from powdercoat last friday and got it mounted on Saturday. I Added a couple of SS turn buckles just because, and I picked up some 3/8" 6061 to use for backer plate inside the boat, I also got my steering helm mounted, and hydraulic lines ran, picked up a duel bulkhead fitting to run the hydraulic Lines from transom to engine. Then today, I got the opportunity to meet up with @towerfab. (Thanks Tom) And picked a 2006 Yamaha 250. Super clean engine, hopefully I'll get this boat rigged up Saturday. Its almost go time boys. Couldn't be more ready to finally take my maiden voyage.
