I actually haven't every done a long range yet. Longest I've done is overnights. It's long been a bucket list thing for me and this year I plan on expanding my horizons by doing at least a 1.5 maybe 3 day. Thinking maybe the Legend or maybe the Amigo
Just go right into 3 day trips if you can. They give you the most time at the rail.

Yeah seems like sometimes the shorter length ones aren't always the best because they will overshoot the local bite but not go far enough to get into really good territory. I saw that quite a bit last year in watching the SD fish counts

Plus the extra days give you more opportunity in case the bite is off a day or two.

    Someday...
I can only hope to get on some real long range trips soon. Until then shorter trips on LR boats is the best I can do. This year I have a 2 day on the Royal Star and a 1.5 day on the Spirit of Adventure. Haven’t been on the Spirit yet so looking forward to checking it out.

Both trips are end of May and I’m already getting dialed in. Can’t wait to get out on the water.

I currently have 16 open reservations for bass fishing on Lake El Salto in early May 2024. My reservations are at Anglers Inn lodge which I have been going to since 2000. Ive been there over 35 times and have been booking group trips there for the last 12 years. My Fins-N-Feathers company is an approved booking agent for this resort and can show the you ropes for fishing this lake. If interested contact me for details.🎣🎣🎣

By my count, 95 days on the water! You've surpassed the Icon Soda Pop. At least for next year. Way to go John!!!
I added it up to 106 but who’s counting!
Sorry, make 111! Damn, my financial advisor said I’m good to go and just need more hobbies, nah, I just need to use Roadrunner as my muse!

I saw that trip yesterday. On my bucket list. Unfortunately, that trip will have to wait a few more years. In the meantime, I will live vicariously through you. Very stoked for you, brother!! Buy a neck fan for that trip should be warm. They work great amd double as a boot dryer. Stick one fan in each boot before bed and wake up to dry boots everytime.

    Must be headed to clipperton?

Andre fished that 22 day last year and presented a really great report. I’ll leave it up to him to elaborate. I’m pretty sure Clipperton is no longer a venue for fishing.

Here to tell you, he’s a busy guy. Devotes a lot of time preparing for fishing trips out of San Diego. Not getting his tackle squared away, he spends time selecting some pretty cool soda pop for the crew. :)
