Just started salt water fishing again almost 2 years now with my first 10 day this last Sep/Oct of 2022. Slowed down on the fly fishing trips for LR saltwater out of SD.
UnforTUNAtely I’ve scheduled a 10 day archery Cape Buffalo hunt in South Africa fall of 2023.
Rounding up all large fishing funds for 2023 to pick up a Sable etc… while I’m there.
Also have a Archery Cues Deer hunt AZ Late in 2023.
Will be looking for a 16 day LR in 2024 to hunt YFT cows. I will also try to pick up a couple day BFT trip to break the 100lb plus I haven’t gotten yet. 60lb BFT is my personal best.
I will have to live vicariously 2023 LRF through BD.
Thanks to everyone for all the help and great advice over the last 2 years.
Happy New Year.
South Africa.. Wow that's going to be a treat. Try to fly Emirates airlines. My wife and I flew from SFO to Kenya via Dubi... 16 hours first leg then 7.5 hours the next flight. If you can swing it go business class. They will treat you like a king.

So far I only have a 11/2 day and a 6 day at the end of July booked. Had to pull out of the 10 day I’ve been riding the last few years at the end of November. When I got home fromit this year my son called and dropped the “we’re engaged” and the date is next November. So I’m looking for a 5-8 day to fill in the gaps

Damn kids today, no respect for their old man’s fishing habit

    Well Mr. Soda,
Providing the stars remain aligned for '23, it's like this....
May 22 Indy 3 day - with friend Jim (gotta figure out those knife jigs)
    July 12 Searcher 4 day - solo
    Oct. 7 Searcher 7 day - with Jim.....again
Nov. 22 AA 8 day - with wife's cousin and 40 year fishing buddy, Vance
Good luck and tight lines all!

I like your style. Lots of trips on Vagabond. I like that, too. Do you think it would be productive to get on a waiting list for one of those 10 day trips?
I would say YES ! What I also found was last season i would look at the schedules every few days as the cancellations would come in. Quicker you look, more of a chance you have to get the trip.

Ex. Missed the half price Jan 15 day on the Intrepid posted on BD as I did not see it soon enough. But then I just got on a RP 18 day in march due to recent cancellation 2 days ago and was in the right place at the right time. One never knows.

Sold my Parker. You can find me on the Red Rooster.
I'm on the Red Rooster for the 15 day June Heat this summer and searching for an 8 or 10 day for the fall. It's a hassle traveling from Alaska to San Diego but I've been addicted for well over a decade. Fishing is great in SE Alaska -- but it's not quite the same as the Ridge or Rocks or Hurricane Bank. Not quite.

Ive got a rest of my life trip planned to PV mex starting march !st or sooner. leaving it all behing, (again) . anything under 3lbs will be called bait from now on, not "thats a nice one" no more -9 degree mornings. everything Ive ever caught in warm water on conventional gear is now a target of my limited flyfishing capabilities, yet within a year there should only be a small list of species to knock off the list. either build or buy a big center console and live out the rest of this pitiful life that I have
