Now that we are well into the 2019 summer fishing season here off the coasts of Washington & Oregon, I thought there should be a thread to put pictures of all the really outstanding fish that are being caught.

I will start with the recent landings of some really big Bluefin Tuna, (at least for our area).

Add whatever you have but please just make sure it's a quality picture and you have solid knowledge it was caught out of a Washington or Oregon port sometime during 2019.

First is the Bluefin caught out of Ilwaco WA on 8/12/2019 and was 92.15 pounds on a certified scale weighed at the Ilwaco Tuna Club, soon to be an Oregon State record. I added a pic of the scale shot as well.

92.13 Pound Bluefin Ilwaco 8-12-2019 on Certified Scale at ITC.jpg

I think this is the Ilwaco fish, can someone confirm this or not?

Next is a picture of the BFT caught out of Depoe Bay Oregon on 8/11/2019 on the ground next to some Albacore and the fisherman's buddy and his son. It was weighed with a digital scale that varied between 88-93 pounds according to the fisherman that caught it.

Last, here is a shot of caffeine for those of you that need to wake up a little bit. :urno1:

Not fish pics, but most here will realize how great these pics really are from the summer of 2019.

Both shots from 8/13/2019 from NOAA Coastwatch and it's free!!!

Other than the bluewater/chloro line being closer to the beach, does it get much better than this with all the flat water we have seen this summer?

That's freakin' awesome. Both tuna and the ladies in proper coffee barista attire. Where do their name tags go?

Your photos/ info are mixed up. The guy with kid & fish on land....is the Depoe Bay fish that weighed appx 95 lbs. That is not the same fish as the one held by guy in boat. I think the guy in boat is the Ilwaco fish.

Here's the 95 lb Depoe fish; the albacore alongside are 15 - 20 lbs. 20190814_141336.jpg

    .
I said the guy and his kid was the Depoe Bay fish.

The picture of the two guys holding the Tuna in front of the ITC was taken by a good friend of mine and the guy holding the head of the Tuna said he was the lucky fisherman and I saw a different pic of him on Ifish stating the same thing.

The weight of the first fish is not in dispute at all as there is a picture of the scale.

The second fish I have heard multiple weights claimed so until I can find a name and weight attached to it, it is still unknown to me.

The guy holding the fish in the boat is in no way either of the Ilwaco two guys as one has hair and the other looks to much taller with a slight belly. The guy with his kid is in good shape IMO and not that tall that's why I said it was the same fish but I read somewhere it was a third but have yet to confirm that in any way.

Any way you wrap it up they are DAM NICE fish and it would sure be nice to confirm a third BF that big up here.

If you have any verifiable info, post it up and I will edit my main post to correct it.

    Have a great day!

WD, what I am trying to tell you:

You stated "the next two pictures are the Depoe Bay fish"

Guy on land with kid: correct. He was a guest of the boat owner. That's the Depoe Bay boat ramp.

Guy in boat (orange shirt) holding fish head-up: not correct. I am personal friends with the owner of the boat in Depoe. His name is Ken. That is not Ken and it's not his boat.

I would assume that....guy in orange shirt is the Ilwaco bluefin guy.

The ifish post got all mixed up with 2 reports in one post.

    .
    I gotcha Mark.

I did mention in my post that it may be a third fish but had no way to confirm it as I pulled both pictures off other forums and there was no info at the time about the guy holding the fish in the boat other than they were the same guy.

    It will be edited.

    Thanks.

I heard the son owns the boat.
The son's dad and and the guy in the boat are actually brothers who were separated when the Bluefin were in Socal and now that they moved , have been reunited with
    the girls offering Lattes'.
    what did they bite?

I don't know where you are getting this? I see you post / question on ifish asking ER Duck if he's the guy in the boat with orange shirt? I already told you it's not Ken.I guess you just have to be a quasi Columbo......it's not necessary.

Ken (erduck) did not post that pic of guy in orange shirt. Bomen05 did. You got everybody all mixed up....

The guy holding fish with kid.....he's 6 ft 3. Not a "normal height" guy.

So much confusion. So not necessary.

Once again. This guy in the orange shirt has NOTHING TO DO with Ken (ER Duck) out of Depoe Bay. You got it?

You need to focus your investigation on Ilwaco boats...to find out who is the "orange shirt bluefin bandit "

That picture originally showed up with the story it was caught out of Depoe Bay over the weekend, that I guess is what is confusing me.

    Fixed.

    Sorry for any confusion.

They had those drive thru lingerie latte shops in Spocompton. On Tuesdays they were topless with just the pasties. I never ever saw a pretty face like the one in red lace above. Doubt I’d have ever made it into work if I had.

So...."showed up" = someone randomly posted an unrelated photo, to the thread about the Depoe fish.

By that logic, if I post this....it means he caught a bluefin too.

You have a bright future as a journalist with (insert name of network you think is fake news).

I'm done & out. Peace, and good fishing
