Yeah. Not mailing anymore! Cost was getting out of hand! Thinking about having people pick up the prizes at one of our sponsors place. Or people will have to pay if they want to have them shipped. Making a few changes for next year! Maybe have a party for all the people who got balloons because we have more stuff to give away soon! Stay turned for updates and party date! Maybe a launch ramp opening party too!

A green balloon on St Paddy’s day..... what are the chances? Congratulations on that but getting a captain to turn is impressive. Your credentials are building Tony and thanks for the post! You are part of the solution.

This didn't happen on the ocean but it concerns mylar balloons and it really pissed me off. I work a few miles from Travis Airforce base and I am fortunate enough to see the Thunderbirds practicing for a show this weekend from there. While on my way home I see a mylar balloon released from the back yard of a house into the airspace the Thunderbirds were using. It's also the final approach to the runway. All I could think is some dumbass did this on purpose to get his jolly. Ban the freaking things.....I'm 100% on board with it.

No pics but have been deckin whale watch and harbor tours in redondo the last couple months...
Got a skipper who is a whale geek and loves to educate passengers....i convinced him to let me gaff all balloons we find so he can let people know about this issue...
Puttin close to 300 people a day on the boat during the weekends as we run 8 trips a day outside the harbor up to 8 miles out and back...
Gettin balloons everyday usually on multiple trips and he loves to let em know..
We noticed that tips increased on those trips that we see dolphins or pick up garbage so it's a win win.....
    Maybe pics to come...
