i know the Penn specs are off...please advise what the 20 VISX holds of 100 and/or 130# braid, either izor or JB.

Thanks for the help

I have heard 700 yards of Izor 100#. I got 300 80# Seaguar plus 325 100# Seaguar. Had hoped for more but every spectra is different.

I first spooled mine with Tuffline 130 hollow and got 540 yards. I decided to step it with 500 yards of Maxquatro 100 solid to 200 yards of the Tuffline 130 I already had. With these larger models finally starting to bite, capacity is an issue.

I got 450 yds of solid Izorline on mine. It was spooled by a reputable shop in San Diego and loaded to the etched line. I was disappointed. Wish I could trade it for a Valiant 800.

Fu(k it, just go buy a 50W and fish bait with it!!! LOLLOLLOL

It seems like that's where we are headed with all these people worried about capacity.

What is the big deal with capacity? The only time I worry about it is fishing a small reel 40# at Lupe. FYI I got 650 yards of Toro Tamer 130# hollow on my 20 VISX.

How do you like the toro tamer? Easy to splice? Went on reel good?
I like it I use it in several sizes from 50# solid to 130# hollow. Splices nice, easy to tie knots, cuts through the water nice (both hollow & solid) price is competitive with the other brands. Can't say anything bad about it, plus it has a smaller diameter than most spectra. With that said Berkely Pro-Spec does have a smaller diameter than anything else, I've seen. Going to try Pro-Spec 65# solid on 2 of my Fathom reels 25N & 30LD2. Looking for max capacity especially on the 30 for Lupe.

580 yards of 100# Izor Hollow on one and 600 yards of solid izor 100# on the other, with room for a 25’ 400# wind on. Use these for the kite/dead flyer.
