Vet got him on some anti biotics etc, suggest I take him to one of those "specialist",you know, the ones that charge ya a bodzillion dollars !

Besides having to put him down before he suffers to much...

    ANYBODY...got some advice/ideas/...anything ?

We just lost a dog. Started out the same way. Didn't eat for nine days total. Paid for surgery for a plugged intestine too late. Going to be paying for a long time. Best of luck. Broke my wife's heart.

Does he try to eat grass? My golden used to get plugged up sometimes and would eat grass. I'd cook up a large bowl of broccoli, she'd eat it, and it would push through whatever was bugging her. Boil until soft, raw broccoli is poisonous to them.

my sisters golden has similar issue they did an exploratory stomach surgery and found bunch of toys and random stuff she had chewed up that had blocked her digestive system and she was saved they asked for $5k for the surgery we worked them down to $3k and had the surgery done to save her. The dog was known to chew and tear apart all her toys. good luck

I had a 3 month old puppy with parvo 9 years ago vet suggested IV fluids cooked white rice add little chicken broth. Dog survived it I recently put same dog down went away deer hunting for the weekend no cell service checked my phone on day 2 wife said dog was acting weird not eating or shitting real lethargic took her to vet 2 times both times they gave fluids day 3 I call to check on dog wife's crying saying she's almost to my location dog went south over night eyes glazed over vets didn't know what's wrong said take her to specialist or put her down possibility of a stroke and or neurological damage she no longer was standing up eyes glazed over seemed blind no control of mouth couldn't drink the water fell out of her mouth eventually her tongue fell out of her mouth I met her and took her back in they suggested putting her down after running test never found out final cause of problems.

How do you know it doesn't have a blockage? It's a lab. There hasn't been one made that doesn't eat stupid shit. I'm assuming you've already had an X-ray?

So you are just letting the dog suffer here? I dont understand some people. Yeah its going to cost you, its part of pet ownership responsibility He is only 2 and you are talking about putting him down? Get the dog into somebody please asap. This makes me sick letting him suffer, while you are here posting about it.

Really , are you kidding me? What a stupid comment. From what I read, he is trying everything he can.....he came here for some advice or suggestions. He stated he doesn't have the coin for a "specialist". If you are so tore up, how about you give him a loan. I'm pretty sure this guy loves his dogs just as much as you love your dogs.
