3 weeks ago I was walking out the door to crew up on my regular tugboat in the Sound when the office called to let me know I was headed to Honolulu that evening to join one of our other boats.
I filled a bag with trolling gear and headed out.
We were contracted by the Navy to tow a barge 750nm NW of Hawaii and monitor the testing of our nations missle defense system.
I know you all love pics, so here ya go.

I'm surprised that information isn't classified.

They would only give us a course to follow and speed to make good. We never knew where launches were made or the intersepters were shot from.

Fresh Mahi everyday was awesome, but now I'm ready for some longfin. Finished the last of our tuna before I crewed up. Looking at making a run at them on Saturday.

Please don't thank me. We were hired by the Navy to do this job.
I just wanted to share something cool that I got to do on my last hitch.
