I think one of the problems in the Ad posting regulations is that the writing needs to be in BOLD.

YOU NEED TO ADD SOMETHING TO THE EFFECT OF:

IF YOU ARE GOING TO POST A "FOR SALE" AD AND IT'S YOUR FIRST POSTING, DON'T OR YOU WILL BE BANNED, THE AD WILL BE LOCKED OR CLOSED AND AT THE DISCRETION OF THE MODERATORS, IT MAY BE DELETED.

I think that maybe the "first time" posting of their first ad should be extended to at least 5 postings minimum before any ad's can be placed, so people trying to go around the posting number needs to find some other ways to contribute to the community. IMHO

What you say makes sense. Maybe prompt them before they actually make a post.
In reality though, what's to stop them from clicking any random post to "contribute" and just writing "cool report" 5 or 10 times. Yes, the moderators could check on their post history, but in reality they don't have the time to do that.
