got to bait at 630 for solid dines. Weather rolled and stayed bad through the day, continuing to get a little worse as things went on. Came up on three dry paddies and then came up on a solid streak of about 300 terns following what looked like a pod of porpoise. Trolled around it, even marked at about twenty feet, very tuna-y. Headed into the bay for some always solid sand bass action.

I do not see it being worth going local for the fish until things start to wind up. But always a good time!

Bait were under the patties as well

Lower nine at the corner as well

Thanks for the info. Looks like we won't have to wait too much longer for the offshore season to kick off.

thanks! thinking about heading out there next week. Time seems good to me! Hopefully a NW blow will dislodge some nice big floating barn doors from SCI for rats to hang out under... and maybe some schooling tuna hanging around. Never know until you go!

Maybe to a point but FishDope tells you what already happened, It can't predict the future. These explorers that go our before everyone else are the ones that make it happen and I admire them instead of following the leader. I use Fishdope too but unless you get out before the bite stops you will never know.

true, but when you get the info from the explorers, it's a day old as well in most cases... I think it's great they go out and scout... my hats off to them as well , they spend their time and money, and report...

Unless your out there when it's happening then its all old news... but getting pointed in the right direction give you much better odds... in finding the fish...
It's fun to explore but its sometimes is very expensive... hit or miss...
