    photo 2.JPG This was caught this week and tipped the scale at around 8 pounds. I think the guy's 18 pound estimate was a bit off!!

    You are probably right on the money,I have caught big bugs and said man that looks like a 8-9 lb'r. Then I weigh it and its 5.5.

    Bugs are pretty light for their size.

    Someone dig up that pic of the toad that was caught of Long beach a few years ago that was donated to the aquarium, that was a big bug.

    I think what happened is this dude told a couple people it was 18#
    Somebody contact a few news agencies and his over exaggeration went viral.
    Dude basically fucked himself into looking like a fool by doubling the estimated weight of his bug.

    AKA douche.
