Boat is SOLD.

1998 Boston Whaler Outrage 17' -- Hull is in great condition. The v-shaped hull really cuts through the chop, which makes it perfect for offshore fishing a trips to the islands. Another nice feature of this boat is 2 rear deck level scuppers. This is useful in draining blood from the deck, and any water that slops out of the bait tank.
2007 E-Tec 115 -- smooth running, well maintained engine with only 150 hours. Had 127 at the last service, and I have only had it out for a few trips in the last year or so.
2004 Performance Galvanized trailer in excellent condition.
  • 55 gallon fuel tank was replaced in 2016. New tank has truck bed coating to prevent corrosion.
  • Fishmaster folding T-Top (has LED lights, front and rear, and a directional searchlight)
  • Garmin 7607xsv fishfinder
  • Standard Horizon radio
  • 26 Gallon Moeller live well -- mounted under seat, lid stays open with magnet for easy access while fishing. Bronze thru-hull intake so the water flow is constant while underway.
  • Engel cooler (doubles a front seat), includes storage baskets, and seat cushion
  • Lots of rod holders (I have more that I haven't installed yet that will be included)
This is a great boat for Southern California inshore and offshore fishing. Rides nice in the chop, like a much bigger boat, and I have used it for Catalina trips and local fishing. The 17-foot Outrages aren't too common on the West Coast. I bought this boat at the end of 2018 in Florida and drove back across the country with it to Orange County. Obtained title for the boat and trailer in California (not the easiest thing), and it is current on all registration fees. Title is clean and I have both pink slips in hand. I really hate to sell this boat, but it costs money to store, and it's not getting the level of use I anticipated. Boat is located in Dana Point.

Price: $19,500 (cash only, no trades, will not ship, reasonable offers considered)
Phone: (949) 516-7830
You can leave a message with your phone #, or send me a PM. Please be patient, I will respond to all.

What kind of numbers are you getting with that e-Tec? Mph and mpg? Is there enough mounting surface to put a bow mount trolling motor on it with some modificAtion to the rail?

Thanks for the inquiries, guys. Boat sold today.
Never did a precise calculation on mileage, maybe 4mpg if I don't run it too hard. Prior boat (in my avatar) with a carbureted Johnson was 1.5mpg at all speeds.
I don't know about a trolling motor, may have to make a little platform out of starboard.
Trailer is aluminum.
