Looking to buy my first boat. Want to fish both salt and fresh. Prefer a aluminum bayrunner type boat but open to suggestions. Budget is 10k to 15k or maybe a little more for the right boat.

Skip the montauk and go for an older 18 outrage or 19 outrage II(same boat).

Yeah, skip the 17 Montauk and go for an 18 Outrage or Guardian; they actually are 18’6” hulls that got renamed to 19 later. Yamaha 115 is perfect power/weight to hang off the stern too.

Yeah bought the gregor from Hooookup. Still learning the ins and outs but its had a few calicos and lobsters on board so far
