When out of Davies ramp this morning. Looking for Rock fish at the 150 area. Could not get away from the Sand Dabs. Worked from 220 to 360 feet. Used squid as bait and plastic lures. Water temp 57.3 to 58.8

Not trying to be a smart ass but the 150 area is in 145 to 160 feet or so. Much of it being in 150' Hence the name. Sand dabs are found outside of rocky areas in the sand. Its not a bad idea to re-drop a dab or two once you do get on the structure. Killer boat BTW.

I fished last sunday just southwest of the Double rig in 180'-190'. Loaded up on the reds--had great fish tacos for dinner. Squid strips on a dropper loop with a red scampi tail / squid on the bottom hook---no sand dabs...beautiful.

Your right I started for a few drops in the East 150 area and just kept going out to the deeper water trying to get some Rock Fish. Ended up around Potters Reef area. Just trying to give a general area where I was. I guess I should of said East of the 150 in deeper water.
