Great news on the size of the bait. It sounds as if it has been hit or miss lately. Our group leaves on Sunday.
We greatly APPRECIATE any reports you can provide to us as we slug through our last few days of work.......

Justin! Jumped in the water to free my line when the fish swam into the props! On the Accurate trip just before this one, we came in yesterday. Crew worked very hard to try to get me that one, but the leader got thrashed and broke.

Or build a rod to go with the new reel....or buy a Mak20 for his next long trip. Either way they would be essentially free:-)

    Well we're back
Great trip!! Great boat and crew! Like always, also can't say enough about the great group of guys that make up this charter working like a well oiled machine and having the time of our lives.
Fishing started off slow at the bank with only 12 fish for the first day and a half.
Then off to the island mid morning of the 2 nd day. There too.. slow ,slow slow, the first couple of days.
We all thought we mad a mistake leaving the bank, then thank god things started to get better sometimes even wide open.
We ended up with a great trip, with 4 or 5 cows and plenty or 70 to 180# fish
No big ones for me this trip but I got my ass kicked by a 168 that some how took me 1 1/2 hours to land don't ask me how I'm still stumped
Jeff from Alaska got the JP With a 248
    Peaches Gallagore 2nd 222 and robin a 200 if I remember correctly.
Most importantly we had very good sized hook bait sardines. acording to the crew the best they seen all year.
Easily able to fish a 5/0 hook
