Super tight budget but we’re trying to get a skiff 14-17’ for $2,000 with some form of propulsion (even a kicker motor is fine) and must come with a trailer.
Planning to use the boat around the bay and just outside the jetty
Or
If you guys have a small aluminum boat, either flat bottom or V with no engine we’d be interested in that as well! Let me know if you have something you’d like to sell

I have a 1985 17 whaler montauk workboat with trailer. Ca titled and registered. No motor. All yamaha rigging still in boat. Deck has some soft spots but the fish dont seem to complain....

$1700 BD special. $1,600 if you have over 100 BD "likes"....

Boat moves between costa mesa, dana point and san clemente.

Hi shad! Really like the boat. I’ll ask my friend who’s buying it with me what he thinks. In your opinion would a 20 hp motor push this along fine with two people and some gear?

20hp will push it around 9 mph max with two guys.

Hull rated fof 100hp. Some yacht club sailing programs run 50hp but thats just in the bay 5 mph zones.

Boston whaler says in certain literature a minumum rating of 40hp for this model.

Motor needs to be a 20" shaft length.

Hope that helps

Yeah it does! Thanks. Might be just outside our budget with the motor but I’ll let you know
