I think a 120v TV with an inverter might work better.......

Try and find a Vizio Razor 19" TV. CostCo used to carry them, but I'm not sure now. They are really 120V TVs with a 12V transformer, so just ditch the transformer and direct connect the TV. That's what I did back when I had my camper (2 years ago). Not really answering the "where" question, unless CostCo actually still carries them.

Good luck, Eric

Yep, this is the way to go. Just get a big inverter and you can use a microwave, lights or whatever besides a tv. No matter what make sure you have dual batteries on a switch so you are not left stranded.

Walmart carries the lil cheap ones that have dual plugs 12v and 120v but they are just that, cheap.

Why do want to stay away from a inverter ? I'm thinking about getting one. Just curious, if you don't mind.

Small ones always seem to take a dump on me and my battery bank I feel isnt large enough to support a big inverter. I use a honda 2000i to power the microwave, keurig, and waterheater. Dont want to run the TV off the generator.
    Thus 12v. TV

How about this one? It looks like it has the 12V (white power cord) on the back. Call them first, also, not the greatest deal if you look on line. Getting kind of big, so don't know about the draw...

I know Vizio flip/flopped on the power for these, so some have the 12 V transformer external, and some are internal.

    Sorry about the car ride.
