LIke it was said before, this trip is not for the person that already knows how to hoop, or hoops from their own personal boat.
This trip is for people who are looking to have nice relaxing, fun time on the water.
This trip is for people who are looking to learn the basics of Hoopnetting.
Besides a pretty good steak dinner....
Dave will give you his lobster seminar on the water. He will also give you as much info as you want on how to fish structure. Basically, you get his fishing and lobster seminar, and a steak dinner, on the water.
You also get to pull on some hoops, and hopefully some legal size lobsters.
Between sets, Dave sets up the boat over a reef, and if you want, you can fish. He keeps some rental rods on the boat, and basic tackle. or feel free to bring your own..
Yeah it cost more then San Diego and Long Beach, but you also get more.
It all comes down to what you are hoping to get. If you want limits of of big bugs...Dana Point is not the place. There are lots of bugs in Dana, but you have to sort through the small stuff. AND I don't think the boats in LB or SD are pulling limits for the boat. And they're pulling hoops on a empty stomach.
Come check it out. For the newbies, it will shorten the learning curve.
Parking is easy, and the lobster zones are close, so you get fair amount of hunting time. Dave has come in late every night, trying to get in a extra set.
Remember, its fishing......Dave can put you on the spots, but he can't force the lobsters to clime in.....not that that has been a issue...plenty of bugs have been brought to the surface.
