Fishing report from The Long Run:

We had a three person, eight hour charter on Sunday April 18th. Dad, grandpa, and 12 year old Jared Pawling. Jared had an epic day of fishing by any standard and landed a five fish limit of California halibut totaling 55 lbs., with the biggest fish being a 25 pound toad flattie.

The boat total on the day was 7 legal halibut, tons of shorts, and an awesome variety of "by catch" including big leopard sharks, rays, sand bass, smoothound sharks, and even a toad Spanish mackerel.

An awesome job on the day by Captain Tony setting up the drifts right on the fish every time, and the whole day was non stop action on the halibut and other assorted fish.

that sure looks like a sierra... i havent seen one of those around here since i was about 12 and even back then it was an odd-ball, rare catch. do you by chance have any of other photos of it? from the one posted, it looks like it has sierra teeth...

nice work on the fish, looks and sounds like an awesome day!

    Ditto on that.

That's a sierra aka "mini wahoo" if I ever saw one. When the heck was the last time someone has reported one of those in US waters?

That's kind of a big deal I would think.

    Oh, and great report!
