    F-me.

    http://www.dol.wa.gov/forms/420739.pdf

My 2005 sled has an 11 digit. I need to add a zero, make a new HIN stamp and attach it next to the old 11-digit one. They need proof that I actually did it before I can renew the tabs.

Any of you guys having to do that too? What are you using?

Have fun. I was transferring my title yesterday and Coldwater is not in the states new database. Turned into a 2 hour ordeal!

There were 5 other guys there dealing with your same issue Tony. Have patience!

Tony- you got me worried, I had to go out to the shop and check my boats, all good. I wonder when Alumaweld switched to a 12 digit. Mine is a 2013.

I've read of guys getting a small stainless steel placard engraved at a Trophy shop. If you have a die-set, you could probably stamp your own.

If ya don't have a 12 digit #. How can the state make you change it. Warranty issues come up with the boat and you now have a HID that doesn't match the manufacturer. How would that work?

Quick trip down to three rivers marine
Since you are trading it in for a new one with a twelve digit HIN you might as Well add two or four feet in length at the same time!

I just brought in the letter, title, and a picture of the HIN on my boat and was issued a new HIN that starts with WNZ.

I'm annoyed but I just wanted suggestions on how you jokers are fixing it on your boats. Jeff has the only legit response. But I'm not upgrading a sled to fish rivers that never open. Think I'll get a hunk of aluminum, stamp it somehow and attach it to transom.

I just don't own any way to stamp aluminum

i ordered a $20 set of 1/4" metal punches of all letters and numbers.

My boat didn't have any obvious sign of the original HIN. I'll stamp in the new one where it's supposed to be. Then I can hand off the set to someone in need.
    Cheers,

How is changing the HID even legal? What a shitshow. Combine this with the fact that my boat and title have a typo this should be fantastic.
