Haven't been out since before Thanksgiving and I was jonesing. Got a bit of a later start launched around 7 with my buddy's kid and his cousin. Got a healthy half scoop of small deans. Headed to LJ. And proceeded to catch rockfish . Couldn't hardly get anything to eat any sort of jigs. Fish seemed to be more keyed in on the smaller fin bait, they wanted nothing to do with squid either. It was a bit odd for us today we seemed to only be able to catch fish in one general area. None of my other spots would kick out fish. But the one area produced well. Biggest olive I have seen. Also biggest pooper 24" I think, thing was wide, pictures do no justice. Mostly quality fish. We boxed 20 total. Oh and each of us caught a small soupfin. And I also caught a 24" white bass in around 200' water. It ate a small dean. For reference, In the last picture the bococcio by his knee was 14".

I am told I have rather large hands.

How many worms did those worm infested big groupers have in them?

That's a great catch considering the weather the last week. Thanks for the report.

    Funny that you mentioned that.
Oddly enough, I didn't see any.
Honesty it was one of my first thoughts shortly after it hit the deck. Thinking that big bastard is going to be crawling with worms, and on another odd side note, none of the bococcio really smelled or had much of a slime layer for that matter. It's truly king of weird now that I think of it
